Frank Warren, the promoter of Tyson Fury, has warned Deontay Wilder after revealing the current shape of the reigning WBC Heavyweight Champion.
“I have to say I have rarely seen Tyson look so well. He is in fantastic nick and a great frame of mind – all of which is bad news for Mr. Wilder,” he said via Boxing Scene.
Warren also stressed that even Wilder has that one-punch knockout power, it will still be difficult for him to get that lucky shot against the Gypsy King.
“In the heavyweights, there is always a puncher’s chance, but even that will probably not be enough for Wilder because Tyson had taken his best shot before and got up all guns blazing.
“Wilder could not do likewise when Tyson put it on him, and my bet is a repeat performance.”
A repeat performance is a gentle prediction for Warren as Fury vowed to do more damage to the Bronze Boomer than their rematch. It can be recalled that the British fighter walloped, dominated, and maltreated Fury on their second meeting that saw the end of the undefeated record of the American.
