After testing positive for the coronavirus, Oscar De la Hoya was forced to withdraw from his upcoming against MMA legend Victor Belfort on the 11th of September.
It was a massive blow as De la Hoya and Belfort are in the main event. This, however, will not stop the event as Evander Holyfield was chosen as the last-minute replacement.
Holyfield is also a boxing legend who fought in the middleweight and heavyweight divisions.
Just like the 48-year old De la Hoya, Holyfield is also raring for a boxing comeback, and he will do it in the new venue for the event, in the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
The change of venue was due to the California State Athletic Commission not clearing Holyfield to fight.
Meanwhile, De la Hoya still plans to get back to boxing and hopefully make his return before 2021 ends.
