With still a month before he faces Manny Pacquiao, unified welterweight champion Errol
Spence Jr. is already looking for his next possible fight, a potential title match against
one of the top welterweight, Terrence “Bud” Crawford.
“I definitely want that fight, and we’ve just got to make it happen,” Spence said in
However, he will not force his camp and Crawford’s side if they don’t want to because
Spence is planning to move up if he can’t fight the other best in their division, to finally
settle who is the king of the welterweight.
“It’s for his guys and my guys to talk to each other and see if it can happen.
“If it can’t happen, I’ve got to move up.”
It can be remembered that one of the most anticipated matchup was also killed years
ago involving Crawford and Pacquiao. The two were supposed to do a mega fight
however Pacquiao’s former promoter Bob Arum of the Top Rank later on admitted that
he purposely killed the fight so that none of his best fighters will get hurt.
Will this also be the case for Spence-Crawford?
