BY PONCIANO “JOHN” MELO – We all know it was an exhibition match and we were not satisfied with how it went but believe it or not, the boxing between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and YouTube personality Logan Paul is estimated to sell a million pay-per-view buys.
According to a reliable source, they are expecting $50 million from the fight.
What Paul earned from the fight is way too much than what UFC superstar and heavyweight champion Francis Ngannnou have earned in many fights. Same goes as well to other fighters who are always risking their lives in real fights.
Well, this should be not surprising as Mayweather has been on all the top four all-time highest-paid fights in the history.
However, UFC president Dana White mocks the fans who paid to watch the fight.
White has been a known critic of boxing especially the exhibition ones as he even stepped in to the possible rematch of Mayweather and Conor McGregor or the McGregor-Manny Pacquiao fight.
“There’s always going to be people that are willing to put down $50 to watch that kind of stuff. That’s so far away [from what we do].
“Think about this — imagine if Kim Kardashian wanted to fight Amanda Nunes. How big do you think that fight would be? It would be huge.
“It would be the biggest [event] but give me a break,” White said.
