After a six-year playoff drought, the Los Angeles Lakers regained the throne as the best team in the NBA after destroying the Miami Heat, 106-93, in-game six ending the series 4-2 at the NBA Bubble in Orlando, Florida.
The Lakers’ rich history was revived entirely as they now tied the Boston Celtics for most NBA championship titles with 17.
LeBron James was the top performer as he is with his 11th Finals triple-double, scoring 28 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. He was also hailed as the Finals MVP, his fourth.
Co-star Anthony Davis added 19 points as well as Rajon Rondo, who came off the bench.
The purple and gold demonstrated motivated basketball after failing to end the Finals in Game 5.
Right from the tip-off, the Lakers were locked in both ends. Miami found no answer to the onslaught as the favored team led as much as 36 points.
Despite the crisis and the social issues, the NBA resumed, crowned the top team, and wonagainst all the adversities.
