Danny Gonzales, a 22 years old boxing prodigy of Floyd Mayweather Jr. was shot dead in Moreno Valley, California.
This year 2020 has been already unfortunate to Mayweather as mourned to the loss of his uncle Roger Mayweather as well as his ex-wife.
Gonzales was the latest addition.
Mayweather paid tribute to his prodigy on social media by writing, “R.I.P champ gone but not forgotten.”
Gonzales signed with the Mayweather Promotions way back in 2018 after an outstanding amateur career.
Mayweather has high hope of the then 18-year old boxer but later succumbed to the creator.
WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman also offered his condolences to the victim and his family.
“We are very sad to report the tragic death of boxer and top prospect, Danny González. We send our deepest condolences and prayers to the Gonzalez family at this hard time. May Danny rest in eternal peace.”
